Max Verstappen has won the French Grand Prix thanks to a well thought out two stop strategy. Mercedes were left surprised, leaving both drivers wonder why they stuck to their one-stopper. Hamilton lost the lead on the penultimate lap to finish second, followed by Sergio Perez.
Not sure if its connected, but he had an Instagram post about getting an anxiety attack on his way to do a Covid test in the lead up to Baku. He missed that race and now this one. Hope all is good with him.

Broadcasting teams also seem to rotate personnel (Ted Kravitz, Brundle missed a few races) which I think could also be a reason.
I got lucky last week to be picked by Marc Priestley as one of the winners of a Virtual Paddock Club pass for this race, was hoping to chat with Will but cant really complain.
