This year must be a record in qualifying for sessions for this. Are they just throwing them much more readily and completely going for safety, or are there really that many incidents where they can’t easily retrieve cars?

So many crashes in qualy lately. It's beginning to get on my nerves.

He’s had a few good moments though, to be fair to him. And Gasly IS a very decent driver.

I would say Gasly is a great driver but I expected Yuki to be great too but he did not live up to it, so far

Tsunoda is more Mazepin than Mazepin so far.

I think that´s a fair statement and I sort of agree but don´t say it on youtube because people love to hate Mazepin on there

Boom - Mercedes best be having a meeting on Monday to discuss a change of plan for the season. Idiots thinking they can turn up with a car at race 1 and not fully develop it as the season goes on. Meanwhile, Redbull are bringing parts left right and centre.

Perhaps Mercedes are willing to sacrifice this season for potential long term gains in 2022 and beyond, I mean RB must be using resources to develop this years car while it appears Mercedes isn’t.

I'd add, I watched Lewis's on board for his first timed lap in q1, and the engine is not turned up yet. You can tell by how lazy the gear shifts seem, and how slow the RPMs rise on the straits.

They are supposed to be already on their Qualifying / Race Map… So, in theory they can’t “turn it up” anymore.

They are supposed to be already on their Qualifying / Race Map… So, in theory they can’t “turn it up” anymore.

They're still able to run any ERS settings they want to.

Drivers do not obey double waved yellows. That is the problem. Double yellow means prepare to stop, but the drivers cannot be trusted.

I've noticed this year that, to all other excellent operation Red Bull garage is putting, it's the timing of when they let their cars out is fascinating, they're always releasing the cars in odd times that is optimal for lap preparation.

I'm not necessarily sure it's something that should be worked out. I think it's something that's inherent to the car that gives them such low tire degradation come race day.

We're pushing new regulations because we want closer racing, but the current regulations have put the top 10 within a second. Things that make you go hmm.
