I wish Mercedes would sort out this tyre warm up, it not good for my nerves lol.
I'm not necessarily sure it's something that should be worked out. I think it's something that's inherent to the car that gives them such low tire degradation come race day.
Yes I agree it's good for the race, but without DAS it makes it hard to get the tyres into the window for qualification.

We're pushing new regulations because we want closer racing, but the current regulations have put the top 10 within a second. Things that make you go hmm.
Exactly!! Time and time again.. Maybe they should cancel the reg change at last minute to maintain the packed field

Did anyone see what tire compound Bottas used for his second run in Q2?

Yeah it seems to happen the season before big rule changes always is a tight season.

I agree. This happened in '12-'13 which were close until the end of '13. But I will say that I think what we're seeing is that a team like Mercedes would probably be running in high development if it weren't for next year

Watching the sector times in Q1 and Q2, Max is definitely on for pole here. Unless Merc have been hiding things

That looked like another stupid/plain wrong stat from AWS. How has Hamilton supposedly had better starts than Verstappen? Verstappen has bern starting really well.

The RB is crushing Merc at a former Merc stronghold.

Good recovery at least 2nd and 3rd gives them a chance. And if the race pace is stronger as it has been all season, we are in for a decent race

But only in qualifying on tires that won't see a single lap during the race.
