Wow Russell! If AM out qualifies MCL and MB are middling again, does that say anything about the high/low rake theory?

After Q2 there are 7 tenths away from both HAM & BOT pair and VER & PER pair ... interesting!

Bottle was compromised to give Hamilton a tow

It makes a little more sense, because in q1 and the first stint in Q2 both mercs we're doing two additional laps before they're in lap.

I dont think giving Hamilton a tow slows Bottas down at any point.

No, though it might mean he didn't get the benefit of a tow himself at that point, so him having to go first (HAM again having choice of order of going out I think this weekend?) isn't ideal, unless they manage to time it well for him too.

So its up to Bottas to get a tow. I was pointing out how well Russell did vs Bottas, and Bottas not having a tow is being used as an excuse. Its not like Russell had Latifi around.

Hope so too!

(Many of us have been saying that it has already been close all season, it can be close when MB is not leading, BTW 😉)

BOT was behind a Ferrari no?

It was a tow train quite frankly.

I think it was a bit of an error, but from what he said on radio just now, it's also something where he's not happy about the set up and that caught him out. Good to see it be close again.
