So now the teams have all the data they need on medium tyre performance for the race tomorrow…

Yeah this was failure, I don't think F1 should keep this format. I'm not sure why they were expecting the cars to all run around constantly overtaking each other. They were always going to stretch out after the first lap. It's added nothing to the weekend, and if anything it just shown us the result for tomorrow. Clearly Max is going to drive off in to the distance tomorrow now and win.

I liked the sprint! Was exciting. However, if it means that all the ‘changes’ have taken place so there’s none left for the actual race then obviously it’s a failure. Until then though, I didn’t mind it!

Disappointed it was only about 30 mins of action though, vs an hour for normal knock out quali

That was quite a thrill. :) Fernando, hasn't lost one bit of his electric starts skill. I like this. So much of action for a weekend.

Perez turned out to be a disaster. #-o

I liked this mini race.
I agree it was excellent. Sainz' recovery was really awesome onboard. The racing in the midfield is always awesome.

I liked it too.

Finally you could see some speed in there.

And great for the fans as well.

This shitshow was announced as 17 laps of flat out racing and the tyres were blistered to --- after half of it ... how was this any different than a normal race stint?

Russell will be investigated post race

Why can't they just have two qualifying sessions like they use to. A Friday qualifying that sets up the top 10 for Friday?

Just keep the format as is or just do it a 4 lap all out sprint.

This was dire, in fact its almost made me think tomorrow isn't worth watching.

You can tell how poor it was by how croft and brundle are trying to hype it
