That’s was always going to happen, Max was never going to give it up.

I think you’ll get a diplomatic fence sit from the stewards. 10 second time penalty and make him work his way back is where I think they’ll go.

Not saying it’s right or wrong - I think it’s probably 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.

Wtf Hamilton. This was planned by Toto. Dsq for Hamilton is appropriate. Hope max is unhurt.
I figured you'd be the first person on the forum complaining! You're so biased you can't even see that Max turned in.
He was infront, he needed to make the corner. Should he drive off the track for Sir Lewis? Its not the first time Lewis did this manouver. Penalty should be given.
Lewis was alongside on the strait, that means Max has to leave room he can't just turn in on someone.

interesting that Mercedes is starting on used mediums (just a couple of laps) although Bottas has 2 new sets left (and Hamilton 1 at least). Seems like they expect whatever kind of advantage due to that
It says Hamilton's doing a two stopper. If he was doing a one stopper he'd be on his new set of mediums.
I thought so too at first, but going by that logic, it would mean Bottas stops 3 times at least (as he had 2 new sets of mediums). So that can't really be the reason

Looked ok to me. Racing incident. I think Max probably could have not turned in as quick, but that would have only delayed the inevitable as Hamilton would have drifted out to the edge of the track on exit.

Shame, as they both left each other heaps of room through a lot of corners prior to that. They were both trying to play hard but fair I think. Dunno if MAx thought he already had HAM covered.
He can’t see HAM when side by side like that. So has to trust the guy on the inside to leave room.

If Hamilton doesn’t get a penalty - and therefore, for the second time this season, gets to fix the self-inflicted damage on his car for free under a red flag - that just plain b.s. and unfair.
For what? Being faster? Max was weave left right left right .

Max just needs to learn when to yield, they are always going to come together at some point but watch Ham from the start, leaves Max room everywhere.

Ham will still get a penalty though due to Championship implications.

Would Max have even made the corner?

Max escorted / supported into the ambulance by medical personnel. With the interview I'd guess he's in a concussion evaluation procedure.

I noticed Max defended in T1 by driving outside the circuit, I wonder if that will get investigated.
No chance ! Never gonna investigate where the crash is already debateable.

No doubt we will hear, Ham: “if you no longer go for a gap that exists you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing.”

Will this be the end of the respect between the two.

Looking at the overhead, I don't think HAM was going to hit the apex and was wider than he needed to be. Don't think it was to crowd MAX out though, just missing the apex.

This is really the forum at its most ridiculous. There are people crying blue murder right now who would be claiming there was nothing wrong at all were it the Mercedes in the wall. And vice versa.

Take a breath everyone.

What race are you watching?! Yielding when side by side. It’s racing!

Lewis is nowhere near an apex. He’s washing out and hits VER right rear wheel.
