Team putting their cases to Massi.

One might point out that Max went off track in turn 1 to stay ahead so shouldn't have been in front anyway. Max tried to hardball Lewis in a 170mph corner and turns in on Lewis expecting him not to be there when he was fully alongside a second before. Max knew he was there as you can see from Max's on board video. He turned in, saw him, opened the wheel and then turned in again.

If they penalise that then the whole thing is a bag of shite.

Getting annoyed with the Red Bull pit wall claiming that it's not a place to overtake. People have overtaken there for years and certainly Max has overtaken people there himself.

If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Lewis doesn’t make the apex because Max destabilizes his car when he hits his front wheel.

I figured you'd be the first person on the forum complaining! You're so biased you can't even see that Max turned in.
He was infront, he needed to make the corner. Should he drive off the track for Sir Lewis? Its not the first time Lewis did this manouver. Penalty should be given.
Lewis was alongside on the strait, that means Max has to leave room he can't just turn in on someone.
He was alongside and he hit his rear tyre.

To me alongside means front wheel along front wheel.

Racing incident all day long. Hamilton earned some space, and both drivers didn't give each other enough. Watched it loads of times now, Lewis missed the apex, Max turned towards the apex. Both to blame.

If Hamilton doesn't get punished for the pit maneuver it sets a dangerous precedent for future incidents, it needs to be settled here and now. Dangerous driving has no place in this sport.
I think Lewis was "guiltier" than Max, but if anyone did a pit maneuver it was Max on the straight before they crashed.

Max should get a race ban. Defending outside the circuit boundaries AND weaving too much AND literally turning into Ham.
Congrats. On my banned list

Third time in not so long space of time hamilton punts off a driver by hitting his rear wheel when he was beaten to a corner. Now a big penalty must be issued to prevent him from pulling same stunts in the future. 3rd TIME!!!

I suspect Hamilton will get a drive-through that he will need to serve fairly soon after the restart, making it unlikely he will finish on the podium.
I don't think he will. Probably a 5s penalty. So people should just punt the other out from now on.

It is a joke to see people in this forum arguing Hamilton was alongside when every single replayed shows Verstappen ahead & Hamilton's car was in the middle of the track leaving absolutely no room. It is an open & shut case & if there ever was a case of Stop/Go Penalty or a Drive through penalty, this is it ! But FIA will continue with their joke 5s time penalty !
But why would they give a different penalty to the usual one for these accidents?

Just watched Chandook’s analysis and at least for me is a racing incident… Max knew Lewis was on the inside… They are both expecting the other one to back down and yield (and probably both should have)… I don’t see a clear fault on either driver.

If Stewarts doesn’t make sure Hamilton takes a significant points cut by giving him a severe penalty, it shows that he gets special treatment and F1 is rigged!!

He is never in front and hence the inside driver must yield. Every gokart driver knows that

Interesting to see the lines when you compare the crash to wellington straight just prior - Ham ahead, Max inside.

I think the FIA has been trending towards consequence based penalties for a while, so I'd expect a penalty here.

(Not my position, just and observation)
