What would the weather be like here?
This race has become boring in the past couple years.
For Sure!!

Current forecast is calling for rain and cool temperatures from Friday to Sunday. 14 C (58 F) or cooler each day.

What do we expect the strategy to be in the dry? It should be a two-stopper.

spa is a power hungry track ,Honda pu is the best of the bunch so i expect a knockout punch from Rbr honda duo.The fact of the matter is merc hasnt beaten Rbr on a power track without any controversy ie Bahrain and silverstone.they got totally obliterated in 2 races in Austria crashed in Baku and beaten in both france and imola. Dispite the politiking merc has been faster than rbr in tracks were power is not that important eg Barcelona ,Hungury ,portimao even monaco Bottas was competitive .so changes in the floor didnt hurt them.

Finally it has come. F1 is back and lots of interesting things to look forward to. One being which driver Perez tries to force off track this time around. 2020 it was Gasly, 2019 Albon and 2017 Ocon. He did managed to keep his nose clean 2018, so maybe he is due for a clean one this weekend. :)

That being said, pressure is on with a contract yet to be signed and this is a track where you can overtake. So no excuses for Perez, really.

In general it will be interesting to see if any of the "new boys" (people who switched teams) who has had some struggles in the first half of the season, have been working hard during the summer break to find solutions for their lack of pace. I'm thinking primarily on Ricciardo. He will be desperate to have something to show. And at this point, he probably should given the amount of races that will follow suit thick and fast.

Also, pecking order. Some teams probably will have some upgrades here, and this is also a circuit where you have to sacrifice either straight line speed for Sector 2, or some downforce for Sectors 1 and 3. Will be interesting to see which teams will choose what, and what cars are more competitive than the others.

Permane from Alpine for example thought they wouldn't do good at Spa, which is slightly odd since they were quite decent in 2020 with Ricciardo taking fourth spot and Ocon bringing up the rear. Sure, high points might not be there, but I'm gonna predict double points for the team.

So you're just going to ignore that Merc we're faster on the straights in both Silverstone and Hungary?

Regardless of crashes etc, the trend was all the way through Free Practice, Quali and the race.
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

So nothing to do with RedBull being able to run less rear wing than Mercedes for much of the first half of the season then?

I wonder, will Redbull take engine penalties for Verstappen in Spa to minimise the risk he has to take one at Zandvoort?

Honda can deploy their ers for longer than merc so nothing to do with shallow wing or flexy wing their pu is just better the change in wing deflection regulation didnt change anything.merc frontwing is flexy maybe fia should look into that
