you mean FOV?
the indy cam is top of the helmet right? the one inside helmet behind the visor should in theory give a much better experience and it kinda does show more of an actual driver's view but it's not using an almost fish eye lens like the top of the helmet cam in the other video

That and frame rate. DOF is a lot of it. The F1 production likes everything zoomed in more, from the t wing, to even trackside.

It kills the sense of speed.
The reason I hate F1's shoulder cam
It’s horrible. Look on Youtube for trackside video. Most are shot on an iPhone, which is the equivalent of about 26mm focal length on a 35mm digital / film body. The sense of speed is MUCH higher.

Rule of thumb your eye sees the equivelent of about 22-24mm focal length on a 35mm camera body.

Same difference. It’s a focal length thing. You notice this when cars are following. The gap looks much smaller onboard than it would be outside that or to the naked eye. Imo, I think that’s partly why they do it.. it makes it look closer than it is.

Ride as a passenger and use binoculars or whatever and look out the windshield. It looks like you’re crawling along.

Lewis was all dressed up for the Netflix filming.
They are following Mercedes this weekend. I love his shoes! :)
I'm a fan of his on track but the guy does dress like a total twonk at times! :wtf:
1 of 1, I dig it.

There's another helmet cam onboard with heavy fuel which looks much less under control with a massive snap out of T14
For comparison though..

That’s a much bigger camera mounted top of the helmet though, it doesn’t give a true eye level view.

Shoulder cams from past F1 gave huge speed sensation, though. A classical example is Senna qualifying lap at Jerez, it looks much faster and on the edge than today´s shoulder camera shots

MSC also had some atrocious taste for clothing. I have already seen him dressed up on stuff you wouldn´t believe...

That's just your way of expressing yourself, that is the unconscious drives you feel inside of you, thus no matter the form it has to be respected because it is pure. No different than passionate Japanese fans with car hats. :D
