the banking in the last corner is supposed to allow for different lines. If you're fast enough it becomes a corner again, but with downforce of F1 and the DRS opening later (that was not the initial plan) I think the F1 can take the line they want. Also the corner 1 (Tarzan) is flexible. But I am afraid the straight is simply too short to get alongside. is 650 m (1 km including last corner) enough?
Hungaroring's main straight for comparison is around 740m of full throttle. Zandvoort is as you said around 1 km, however DRS zone will be around 100m shorter than in hungary, so I predict similar outcomes. Exception being zandvoort doesn't have further overtaking zones after T1, whereas hungaroring has T2-3-4 sequence. It's anyone's guess at this time.
There is a chance in to 3 if someone gets close in 1 and can stay close through 2. But it's a very small chance and I predict a coming together in to 3 because of that.
It appears, on first glance, to be a track that won't result in close racing in downforce producing cars. One needs to be able to follow closely in to and through 10 to have a chance in 11, to follow closely through 13 and 14 to have a chance in to 1.
Hopefully we're wrong and the track does work ok.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
