As Mercedes pulled every strategy trick they could imagine, they were at no point a threat to Red Bull's Max Verstappen, resulting in a composed victory in front of the very pleased "orange army". Hamilton and Bottas ended up second and third.
I know my comment will be deleted but I really dislike the narratives being sold about Verstappen's fans. We all know Hamilton's fans are just as toxic, especially on social media. Why can't drivers be booed and cheered for having bad luck?. Why are the people constructing these narratives so concerned as if someone is going to jump from the grandstands with a weapon attacking a driver?. Surely they understand it's a sport and there's competition, there will be people who cheer drivers on to do well and other fans who antagonize drivers. Verstappen just happens to be the fastest Dutch-Belgian F1 driver of all time, and his fans follow him all over Europe to see him and support him in hope of success.
I also don't like the double standards, none of these narratives were being sold about toxic fans abusing a driver in Mazepin online for his Russian nationality even past his scandals, now we are here saying fans booing Hamilton is bad?. Really?.
"Nosotros diferimos, pero nosotros todos son iguales"
Hamilton loss of power. Don't see that too often! Hopefully it's not an engine change.
He turned it off himself after the team told him to. No fluids or anything.
With the season underway so far, they will use old PUβs for Friday, which are very end of life.
Gearboxes maybe, but not the engines surely? Although as this isn't a power circuit, it might be an older engine anyway as they have to manage them effectively to complete the season.
