Hamilton loss of power. Don't see that too often! Hopefully it's not an engine change.

He turned it off himself after the team told him to. No fluids or anything.
Hopefully it's an engine change. He destroyed Verstappen's engine so just to make it even.

With the season underway so far, they will use old PU’s for Friday, which are very end of life.
Gearboxes maybe, but not the engines surely? Although as this isn't a power circuit, it might be an older engine anyway as they have to manage them effectively to complete the season.
Not saying for sure in this instance , but definitely they will use older PU's on a Friday. They won't use old PU's in qualy or races, so the only time to use them is on a Friday to keep the miles down on a newer PU.

They usually use the old engine for all the practice sessions, and then swap in a race engine on the Saturday. It minimise mileage on the race engine.

When they do these 'sound up' things, it always seems to be the same cars (last year Vettel, this year Hamilton and Verstappen) is that just producer's choice or are specific cars specially mic'd up for it?

Exactly the same with Hamilton and Vettel. Very late to the scene each time.

Ha! I was thinking to myself when it happened, it's only a matter of time until someone posts rubbish like that. Isn't the only one either so far. Pretty weak.

Maybe they're too busy watching Max to respond to others. It's a bit bothersome indeed, I hope the lifeguards at Zandvoort beach are normally more responsive...

That stoppage wasn't too long at all - maybe they've been told to get a move on this time.

It's possible. It's probably a new situation for most of them a 'bigger' event like this, but I hope they can be a bit snappier getting to cars going forward. I'm sure they'll have an debrief later.

The Ferraris are looking tasty so far. Would be great to see them right at the sharp end in qualifications. What a cat amongst the pigeons that would be!
