the marketing boys from mclaren said that kovy amd lewis were on different aero development directions. lewis' main problem was bottoming out. They claimed that both drivers completed both sessions with quite heavy fuel loads throughout...id usually assume that to be about 40kg.
i dont think we can really see where they are untill session 3. clearly the kovy direction will be the way to go for the weekend

quite possibly, but im eager to see where they are compared to the non controversial diffuser teams. Im not convinced ferrari are all that healthy yet, or bmw.

You guys did follow F1 last year didn't you? Friday practice usually meant very little in relation to qualifying or the race.

Anyone else notice the asymmetrical exhausts on the McLaren in free practice, I now we seen it before in testing but they are really doing some strange things lately.

The Mclaren has many more openings for air to seep out the end plates. Is this by design or an issue with the wing stalling?

have to say, the car didnt look quite as bad as i was expecting in qualifying. Although i dont believe aero is the only issue they have, i think they will be able to drag themselves up towards the front by europe.
Stars of qualifying for me were red bull.
