Based on what? Max’ performance- or both car results combined?NathanOlder wrote: ↑08 Sep 2021, 13:49-The RedBull has been the car to have at more than half the races so far.

Did they run it in free practice at Zandvoort ? I don't recall seeing any footage.
Don't tell me , your one of these 'people' that believe a driver can extract more than 100% of the cars performanceGOAT wrote: ↑09 Sep 2021, 02:23Based on what? Where did he say that so? You are implying it that way. Some cars are easy to extract "close to 100%" and some are just not that easy. Difficult cars require highly skilled drivers to go close to 100%. What has been proven so far is, Mercedes and Red Bull cars are well matched, in terms of ultimate performance. While W12 seems to be easier car to extract full potential, as both drivers are coming close to 100% (one more than the other, but closer), on the other hand, RB16B seems to be far more difficult car as only one driver is managing to come close to 100%. Whether Red Bull have a relatively more inferior second driver, is up for a different discussion. For any team, a W12 sort of situation is sought after and not the RB16B as both drivers can put the car at the front of the field more easily. To that extent, W12 is the better car.NathanOlder wrote: ↑09 Sep 2021, 08:33Don't tell me , your one of these 'people' that believe a driver can extract more than 100% of the cars performanceGOAT wrote: ↑09 Sep 2021, 02:23Based on what? So you are genuinely saying the Mercedes has been the car to have this year ? An easier car to drive isn't a better car. What makes you think that ? All drivers would chose a faster car, even if it is slighty harder to extract that last 0.5%Ryar wrote: ↑09 Sep 2021, 09:42Where did he say that so? You are implying it that way. I agree with this.NathanOlder wrote: ↑09 Sep 2021, 10:01Max and Lewis both extracting 99% from their cars. Bottas a 98% and sergio a 97%.

So your saying something like the W12 is 100%, Lewis gets 97% from it. The RedBull is at 98% and Max gets 100% from it. Therefore is able to beat Lewis.GOAT wrote: ↑09 Sep 2021, 12:09Come on man!?NathanOlder wrote: ↑09 Sep 2021, 08:33Don't tell me , your one of these 'people' that believe a driver can extract more than 100% of the cars performance![]()

I think some drivers are able to perform closer to the limit of a car than others- and some cars are more difficult to push to the limit than others.
Checo is being poor , thats for sure. It doesn't mean the RB16B isn't better than the W12 though is all I'm pointing out. But there seems to be a few opinions that the W12 is infact the better car so far this season when surely there is no real proof of that.
Not sure if those percentages are completely accurate, but more or less yeah..NathanOlder wrote: ↑09 Sep 2021, 12:18So your saying something like the W12 is 100%, Lewis gets 97% from it. How far behind Lewis is Valtteri in % He must be very low if he's driving the best car on the grid.GOAT wrote: ↑09 Sep 2021, 12:30Not sure if those percentages are completely accurate, but more or less yeah..NathanOlder wrote: ↑09 Sep 2021, 12:18So your saying something like the W12 is 100%, Lewis gets 97% from it. I agree, The Mercedes has taken a step in since Silverstone, and there appears to be a few tracks that suit the Merc coming up. Then add to that RedBull happy hunting grounds such as Brazil and Mexico are looking like they could be cancelled, then I agree , the Merc from this point on could be the car to have.
