With these tiny rear wings that everyone is running with this weekend, how much advantage does DRS provide?
Less than with a high camber wing but still effective. I predict we will pretty much just see a big DRS train in THE SPRINT™.
and in the race as well, as different tactics are pretty much out of the window as well now, given free choice of tyres.

Just seen Russell's new helmet for Monza, and he has the tiny camera installed like Fernando did at Spa!
Awesome!

I think this race has all of the fixings for an instant classic. I'm hoping for another high-stress crack up from the top teams, and a non-expected driver wins here again!

Good point. Another thing THE SPRINT™ ruins. That's what I enjoyed most about Zandvoort, it was a tactical chess game. If Verstappen does take his engine penalty here I expect him to win THE SPRINT™ but then get mired in the midfield as they all 1 stop the race.

Still doesn’t show the speed like other helmet cam examples do.

Awesome idea, could be executed better.

Also, listening to Crofty at 6:30 in the morning is really hard. :-|

OK, judging from this session so far, my wild prediction is that Verstappen takes an engine penalty and Perez doesn't. Mercs won't.

Silly question time - is it perhaps better not to be on pole for the start of the sprint thingy? It's a very long run down to T1 - a tow behind the pole sitter might be better than being the pole sitter punching the the hole in the air. Then taking P1 in to the first chicane. Or is that me overthinking it?
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

I think so. It doesn't usually happen in a normal race start here, does it?

The back of the Ferrari looks like it might have started rusting

T1 is quite divebomb-friendly here though. If any more contact will happen this season between the two, this could be the place, providing they start 1-2.

We got a bit of a glimpse of a mess we can probably expect at the end of q3.

Depends.

These cars are so wide, and T1 so narrow, that the front row will effectively block things, assuming P2 gets off as good as P1 and P3/4.

Something much smaller and slower, like a Formula Ford or something, for sure.
