This is ridiculous!!! But saying that, both Haas got away with worse last weekend against Vettel, so this is all acceptable if you look at last weekend! FIA and Stewards major fail

What are the rules on engine modes for this qualifying? Are teams allowed to change them or do they have to keep them the same from now on?
They can't change them from what I understand.
I would've thought so but that would mean they would have to do 4 full sessions in that engine mode.

Is this going to be a night qualifying? It’s already close to 6 p.m. local time. And the pre-shows indicate poor daylight
No chance of night sessions at Monza, not unless they fit the cars with headlights
Haha yes. Actually it looks better now compared to the pre-show before qualifying. They had lights on in the motor homes.

I never understood why more teams don’t do what Merc does to get through some of these earlier Q rounds, but it also requires knowing you have a lot of pace.

Yes, that's exactly what the rule change intended i.e. no magic modes for qualifying anymore.

I think Red Bull must still have more to give in Q3?

Mercedes likely does too. Their banker lap was good enough to be very safe in Q1.
