McLaren's Daniel Ricciardo has won the Italian Grand Prix ahead of team mate Lando Norris. As both title contenders again clashed and retired from the race, Valtteri Bottas had a brilliant recovery to finish third after starting from the back of the pack.
There is no negative pressure : true. But there are generally two quantities : absolute (goes to zero) and gauge pressure. The latter can be negative as it is measured against ambient, as most pressure sensors in essence are doing. That's why any sensible engineer will denote a bar as either bar(a) or bar(g).
25 years of watching this beautiful sport and I have never seen a more awful post race interview.
F1 really needs to reward its fans with better stuff. Massa asked no pertinent questions, mumbled some gibberish and even brought up the 08 championship which has 0 relevance to the current race or season.
I have no issue with drivers turning pundits, but it was clear Massa made zero efforts or did any prep before putting the questions out. It's sad because I am sure there is some sharp, capable and worthy journalist out there who would ask the right questions.
Sport needs to change. Just because someone drove well, doesn't mean they automatically become better journalists. They should stick to the driver psychology/race craft and technical side of things.
Piss poor!

Let's get back onto the topic, like how this stupid sprint race ruins the weekend structure and disincentivizes me to watch or care about any other session than the race.

yeah, also FP2 feels a bit pointless to watch now, with no low-fuel runs to be expected. In terms of race pace, the PDF-files normally provide a better picture than the video anyway.
But who knows... maybe some back runners will go for it this time at least. I'd kinda like to see Mazepin in 1st, showing everyone that he is the best

Fully agree. This coming practice session is completely useless for example. By all means, do some sprint races, but separate them from the normal GP weekend.

I totally agree! This FP2 session is completely useless to watch! Quali yesterday wasn't important and exciting,
because it was just for the Sprint Race.
Next year 7 of these sprintrace weekends!
looks like Red Bull is simulating the sprint race at mid-fuel, going way quicker than everyone else.
Yep. Sometimes, quite often, I wish the ex-drivers commenting would be as wise as us watching. Di Resta goes on about RB looking really good, and went for a race setup, as if Merc really are 1,6 secs off the pace
Just semantics though as the term negative pressure is a commonly used even in engineering.
The terms is what it says, just a way to say the force from that pressure difference goes in the inward direction that is opposite to an explosion/expansion/blowing out.
This ^ "negative pressure" is well known/established to mean "pressure lower than atmospheric".
