Just semantics though as the term negative pressure is a commonly used even in engineering.
The terms is what it says, just a way to say the force from that pressure difference goes in the inward direction that is opposite to an explosion/expansion/blowing out.
This ^ "negative pressure" is well known/established to mean "pressure lower than atmospheric".
Agreed.

You open a door and air rushes in constantly.

They made the red flag several minutes longer in order to allow Ferrari to start repairs earlier - only at Monza ... lol

Could be a vague question. But just saw the rear tire wobble/oscillation (vertically) in slo-mo of RBR even when on asphalt. Maybe it looked extreme in the slo-mo. Wouldn't that affect the air flow near the rear tire area making the rear unstable?

Nah, airflow under the car and over the engine cover is much more important for rear downforce.

I understand that part about pressure difference over and under the car is important to maximize downforce levels. But wouldn't this wobble cause disruption in airflow near the tires, thereby causing issues with airflow/pressure over the car floor?

Being ahead of Bottas & within 1 tenth of Hamilton in his 1st Q3 lap was amazing !
Max had a tow from 2 cars, and Lewis had none, that's why we was as close as he was! Did you actually watch qualifying?
He did? He was a bit further back than most, but he did. It was his choice anyway how far back he wanted to be.

Sainz costing ferrari a lot in repairs.

Anyhow im glad the mercedes and mclarens together are faster than redbull.
Would be great if Max finished 5th in the sprint race and sunday's race.
Mercedes need the points now. They will surely be beaten on the upcoming tracke apart from sochi.
For Sure!!

Turkey, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Abudhabi certainly look like RedBull Tracks.

Sochi, and whichever TBC tracks comes are the only hopes Mercedes has.

The front wing already diverts the flow away from the front tires to prevent turbulence. The rear tires are to much to the back to distort any important air flow. The badge boards also divert flow away from the rear tires, directing it to the wing/diffuser area.

Carlos Sainz two weekends in a row now, proving to simracers that yeet crashes are not the physics engine going bonkers.. The person who signs the cheques in the team, might be tho.

Brazil’s a weird one as after turn 12 that massive long, long left turn up the hill and over the start-finish screams Yippee for Mercedes.
