Beautiful Daniel. Now lets see if Lando can get Verstappen also.

Nice start for Daniel! Good recovery from Lando… Couldn’t ask for more! Let’s go!

Norris had a great start as well, he would have been alongside Verstappen but he was blocked.

This is positive in regards to Bottas/Perez, if we can keep Hamilton and Verstappen, we should be safe against those two.

We might stand a chance for a victory now but it all comes down to the pit stops. Careful though Daniel with that parabolica not to go out of bounds for a 3rd time.

I’m just enjoying watching McLaren lead a GP 9 laps into it… Perez just made a move on Sainz, which is good since it helps with points as long as we finish ahead of Perez.

Daniel is doing a great job in front of Max and the worst part of the first stint is behind us… At this point, Max will probably need to start settling into a rhythm if he needs to protect his tires

McLaren's race will be defined by the start. They seem very comfortable defending other cars, so it's all about getting off the line cleanly. If Max is leading on first lap he'll likely pull away fairly comfortably. If Daniel or Lando can jump him at the start, it's coming down to the pitstops. Same for defending against Lewis. It's going to be a nail-biter for sure.
I love your enthusiasm, but I'm afraid it's going to be an exciting first lap with a safety car, then a rolling restart that leads to us watching rubber slowly vulcanized for 25 laps under VSC, then watch more rubber slowly vulcanized til the end.
Playing out exactly as I said.

Not sure how much Lando can hold Hamilton. The mediums are dying.

Should McLaren tell Norris to let Hamilton pass in the hopes that Lewis can start to catch Max and slow him down defending from the Merc. Which might give Daniel a better chance of the win.
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

The only challenge right now is that Lando’s pace isn’t great, the Ferrari’s are actually quicker than I expected and could be a challenge later on in the race

Lando is slowing Lewis down but that also let's Leclerc catch up who might have fresher tyres as he is in no battle.

That’s a big risk… I wouldn’t tell them to do it at this point… The gap to Max from Lando is intended to help his tires, if he would let Hamilton go, he would have to build that gap too and be under pressure from Leclerc

Lando is doing plan A with plan B lap times. It’s probably deliberate due to the increased tyre deg at these temps and speeds

This race is going to be the biggest challenge for the strategy team… Leading the race puts additional pressure into deciding when the right time to pit is… Do you stretch it out and keep building a gap?… If they pit Daniel, he will come out potentially in front of Stroll, but that is risky… They need to keep building a gap to Sainz
