I can see that working quite well imho.but the start will be critical. Bold move but all the cars behind Lewis he should be able to overtake on top speed (with the ATs now from pitlane)
Could be ..

I like the aggression from Lewis, but that was optimistic.

Antonio pitted himself.

Why did he try that on VER? He was in perfect position of the start! Amazing aggression but that was v v v optimistic

Red mist.

Those chicanes are tight in these cars.

Edit: Max did push him off, but Lewis was being aggressive. Not sure where Lewis thought he was going to go at exit.

I know one thing is for sure, the Stewards + Masi won’t be consistent in their ruling.

Absolutely. You’ll always going to get pincered into the second part of the chicane. High risk for sure. Amazing he got away with it without losing a front wing

Perfectly reasonable attempt. Max drove as if Hamilton wasn't there on his outside. Seb would have spun on the inside.

Yeah it’s perfectly reasonable but if you think about it. RIC is going to hold VER up. HAM if he was in 3rd place could have bided his time and over or undercut at his leasure when he needed to

Max does the Senna “I’m going to leave you to decide whether we crash or not” better than anyone on the grid.

Seb would still be spinning.

I really hope Mclaren doesn’t mess up the strategy for Danny Ric. A podium would be great.

Mercs top speed not looking that impressive. That overtake of Bottas over Kuica shows that. If they have an engine advantage over other manufacturers, it must during acceleration phase.

I didn't say it was sensible.

Always is the case and how you build / tune those engines. Top speed is only a small fraction of the lap.

When did Monza become one of that hardest tracks to overtake.

The McLaren is very, very fast in a straight line, isn't it?

You would think a draft heavy track would produce some of the best racing.

The fact it doesn’t shows how much the car concepts are a mess.
