I know exactly what he said, I saw that interview live. It doesn't change anything, we will see the same pattern if they doesn't improve. Pretty good qualifying, poor race pace, stuck behind some slower cars on older tyres and race ruined. He is not confident in the car and a quote doesn't change that fact.

I was there for FP2 today. So happy to see Kovi do well. Vettel's car for sure sounds very different breaking around the turn 12-15 complex where I was compared to other cars.

The times you are looking at are with Hamilton not happy with the setup.
If he nails the setup things can swing the other way.

Anxious drivers? Annoyed racefans? Idk, do FIA rules specify if it's within an acceptable radius they can start a session?

Either we get some real racing -- you know: passing for the lead, multiple winners, etc -- or the sponsors start pulling out. Already, Infiniti is beginning to express some concerns. Winning is NOT a good thing for a sponsor when it is boring. Our company's president (Porsche turbo AWD) gave away his tickets to the US GP, a 2 hour drive from here.

Oh Business partners and sponsors have been talking about this since September 2012, change is certain that's all I know.
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

The bad thing is he could be overtaken by Nico in the standings, and that wouldn't be helpful at all.

A huge difference to me as a fan.

A huge difference for him considering his standing in the team. Being the #1 even if it's unofficial is key to success.

from formula1.com Vettels QA
Q: Who will be your biggest opponent tomorrow and on Sunday?
SV: It’s still difficult to say. I think that Mercedes was heavier than we were and let’s see what Lotus is coming up with - now that Kimi (Raikkonen) is not here. I think a lot will depend on the tyres as it should be possible to do only one pit stop - and if so, much will depend on changing at the right time. For that we have our experts.
note that he doesn't mention his teammate here :D

ofc he might have understood the question as addressed to the whole team, but then again, that team question would be for Horner, not him

Lotus hail Kovalainens first outing in yesterdays FP's:

I honestly like Heiki, hopefully he can keep it up and nail a seat back at Caterham for next season.

I want Heiki to show Romain up. Would be funny to see Romain get dominated and the look on Lotus's face.

If he pulls off a "guido" (comes out of the box flying in quali / racing) I'll be extremely impressed :P:

There´s 16 points between them. If he stays right behind Rosberg and just bring in the points he will stay ahead.

It really won´t matter though. He´s in a new team, completely new car, has more poles, would have had more wins, looks set to have more points.
I can´t see how you can do things better given the circumstances. People need to start realizing that Rosberg is no joke.

The great thing for next year, if they get the fastest car, they are going to wrap up that constructor´s title in record time.
