Yea it´s a 100% chance of tears from one of the Mercedes drivers when the clutch inevitably will cause problems.

Article says Hamilton broke track record from 2004. , which actually isn't true (even Hamilton's race engineer, wrongly, told him he went fastest ever).

Four drivers went faster in first qualy in 2005.

1 5 Fernando Alonso Renault 1:32.582
2 16 Jarno Trulli Toyota 1:32.672 +0.090
3 6 G.Fisichella Renault 1:32.765 +0.183
4 9 Kimi Räikkönen McLaren Mercedes 1:32.839 +0.257

One of? When did Rosberg have 'clutch problems'?

- The most boring and predictable qualifying of the season, Teams in pairs one after another (except for Renault). 'Exciting' F1 is designed like that.
- Ferrari - rather disappointing not to beat at least one RB if not both, China. Spain, Spa repeat
- ~0,6 is not exactly close and I'm not sure how Mercedes can lose this race without trying (like in Singapore) on a two-stopper and with usually good harder compounds pace.

In 06 Massa did a 1:29, next year chaps next year for sure.

Soft tire is good for about 12-15 laps medium is slower at first and a little faster at the end but only lasts a handful of extra laps. So overall the difference is a wash.

The Hard tire I think no one wants to use but it's a mandatory compound. Strategy isn't as straight forward as last race as there isn't a huge difference between the durability of the tires but the grip level has a moderate difference. I'm guessing a two stop S S H, or S M H. Those starting at the back, I'd run it backwards, get the hard tire out of the way, try to make up track position by driving past those who pit and finish the race strong on softs.

Red Bull was actually the fastest car on the long runs Max and Dan both had more 39's that either Mercedes. They were probably running with the engine turned down. I still think the advantage won't be .6 in the race, maybe in bursts, but it's not whole race sustainable.

Interesting... RIC has a new set of softs for the race, so we could see late-race heroics from him yet again!

FP1 too. But then I saw he ran the softer tyre. Wehrlein had less running due to engine problems in FP3 though. But I'm not really making any point. Good for Ocon!

Funny I was watching the end and it was posting the fastest laps and it showed Massa doing a 1:29 in 06 guess it was a glitch on the broadcast. Anyway nice vids keep up the good work.
