That would be great if true. We need a competitive season were numerous drivers can win a race.godlameroso wrote: ↑26 Mar 2021, 14:52It looks like McLaren Ferrari Red Bull and Mercedes have formed their own group. The rest are just scrapping for points.
Interesting that, isn't it. I don't see why it's not just constant the whole time. (New season same old gripes!) Is this the corner last season where first it wasn't enforced, then it was, then the drivers complained so it wasn't again?
According to some forumers "if mercedes were beaten this season that means they are at peak level of their sandbagging strategy and they hide their hand even if it cause losing WCC. otherwise their car is fastest around..."grubschumi13 wrote: ↑26 Mar 2021, 15:53That would be great if true. Looking at most comments here thus far, it appears there is a lot of worry that Mercedes don't have their usual 1 second advantage and they don't want a competitive season but more of the same Mercedes domination.
It is said Lewis is the GOAT but his fans seemingly have little faith that he can do it without the car advantage.
In fairness, his car broke down a lot. There were definitely some races (Spa, Melbourne, Germany, Malaysia spring to mind) where he arguably had the car to win the race - and his teammate sometimes outperformed him - but there was also a good proportion of reliability that scuppered his chances.JordanMugen wrote: ↑26 Mar 2021, 16:58I'm not sure either, but certainly Hamilton did not take a competent but inferior car to the WDC in 2012. Despite four wins and seven podiums, Hamilton was still 91 points shy of the title. The championship winner (Vettel) only managed five wins and ten podiums, so in theory Hamilton & McLaren could have been in contention... For some reason Hamilton scored 5 DNFs, I can't remember what they were for.
Don't forget Singapore, gearbox failure while leading the race!f1316 wrote: ↑26 Mar 2021, 17:07In fairness, his car broke down a lot.
