Max has been great, but he was stuck behind Leclerc.

But, I don't think either driver has stood out.( but lando still wins without the red flag)
Neither driver stood out? I cannot understand how anyone can't recognise the mastery of Maxs display and the absolute gap in class between the two drivers, it's that big here today
I was talking g about neither McLaren driver. Max has been the class apart.
Piastri hasn't had a great race, but it's been better than Lando for sure, which is why Oscar gained a place and Lando lost 5, plus any penalty at the end.

Don't say that too soon, Piastri hasn't served his 10 second penalty yet, he could very well end up outside of the points if Lawson can close the gap to Tsunoda.

Strange though. Lando is an englishman. He should have been better in the rain than that.

We can say that Max owned Mclaren pretty badly today.

Yeah, I wonder what's going to come of those start procedure investigations.

Both drivers might be getting penalties with Lando going off at the aborted start for some reason even when there was clearly no green light.

It's a disaster that they might not even outscore Ferrari this race.

But Max is almost on rails. Lando just has driven poorly in these conditions.

I.live the guy, i don't want to see him leave, but he's not close to.team leader material.

Agree.

I think it there wasn't the train of drivers Max would have overtaken Charles pretty quick but slip stream vs slip stream. Held him up a little.

I don't think Lando still has to learn a little on being more agressive in overtaking. Poor starts etc.

But I think he has improved there this year too. Just not quite enough

A big missed opportunity. Max deserves his WDC this year. Congrats. The team needs to improve in all areas if they want to challenge for WDC next year. This needs to be a learning year.

I just hope we can win WCC because the team deserves it for the development of this car.

BTW I really hate wet races - usually it's a lottery that goes away from McLaren (Sochi, Silverstone, ...).

McLaren doesn't have the experience in these situations. Horrible in all regards today

Both Lando and Oscar have a lot of work to do in the off-season.

I am dissapointed to Lando and Oscar. I also don't think he deserves the WDC if he is losing from Ocon, Gasly and Rusell.

Horrendous race. WDC 100% over.
McLaren will loose more ground to Ferrari, no doubt Norris will be penalised too.
A terrible triple header

Damn shame for the rain. Big rear wing was not as beneficial as thought....a lot of bad luck too. Verstappen was on another planet, got to admit that...
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

Yeah, this was the coup de grace for the WDC, it's going to take literal acts of God at this point. And yeah, wet races absolutely suck. It's all just chaos.

McLaren is racing since 1966
