I my opinion its to obvious that Ferrari use the "Renault" airbox behind engine towards compressor turbine.
So no split turbo here, very little chance that Tobias was right.

There is a shaft connecting the turbine and the compressor on both solutions, since the MGU-H has to be mechanically connected to the turbo, why can't be on the turbine side of it? Has to be directly on the compressor? Can't be to the shaft in between the compressor and the turbine?.poz wrote:aleks_ader wrote:I my opinion its to obvious that Ferrari use the "Renault" airbox behind engine towards compressor turbine.

You are right, rumors say that the MGU-H is under the turbo

I couldn't get all the details, so if someone with fluent Italian can translate the most important bits, I think everyone will appreciate it.
omnicorse is also urging ferrari to do a formal protest and not let it pass by just like they did until now. They are saying that had it been Red Bull, the FIA wouldn't have been let off the hook so easily. They are also certain that the ferraris would have been on podium had it not been this issueelFranZ wrote:FIA messed up with their remote "lanch mode" flagging system, which leaves the cars with no mgu-k before the 100km/h limit (on a side note, I didn't know that such system existed at all). Ferrari's PU have all been affected by this "bug", forcing pilots to do a lot of manual work on their wheels to get the missing power back (just like Alonso stated after the race). The problem was fixed after the first pit stop.
Can anyone add details to this story?atlantis wrote:Leo Turrini reports that a few heads (responsible for the hybrid engine) at Ferrari rolled down today.

According to ferrari no head rolled down but there was only a redistribution of duties and responsibilities.donskar wrote:Can anyone add details to this story?atlantis wrote:Leo Turrini reports that a few heads (responsible for the hybrid engine) at Ferrari rolled down today.

- engine weight - fine, it took them a while to clarify it and Amus was wrong..poz wrote:From omnicorse:
Ferrari says their PU is not overweight. Ferrari voted against 10kg minimum weight increase.
Ferrari will not use the metal ring around the turbo as their lighter solution was approved by FIA.
