Maybe it can work out. If they give the LMDh a slight edge in one lap pace, than the LMH with better chassis and better tire-life can have a beter overall race-pace. The we see some battle on racedays.

Maybe that will be the case with the Peugeot, given its lack of a full span rear wing. Regarding that, the floor seems to have channels on its outer edges. Those might be ramps/venturis exiting at the side of the car or maybe through the rear wheel arches.

Also the rear diffuser seems to expand partially ahead of the rear wheel. There's a bulge in its roof which might be clearance for suspension/driveshaft, or an entry into a second channel.

The 296 GT3 has significantly different bodywork, with wider fenders, not just flares around the wheels. Almost like Super GT. Have the rules changes or has this always been permitted?

Can't help but feel a bit sad when I see these "I own the name" things. Vanwall has a notable place in motorsport history as the first winner of the F1 constructor title. Seeing the name used as a bit of reflected glory feels wrong to me.
