Dear forum collegues,
the R26 main difference with the R27 is the guy who used to sit in it and, not only drived fast, but also had the sensibility and talent to tune the car and help engineers to improve it.

Paradoxicaly, the car that last year won none, this year is 1st in the WDC and WCC...

Just mere coincidence?

And another question, cause I have got terrible memory, when did McLaren change tyre supplier? Was it for 2006 or for 2007?

It is not so simple , let put this way . if Alonso drove Honda RA107 he would be at least in the same fate as Button , maybe a little better .By the way Mc Laren switced from Michelin to Bridgestone in 2007 . It is really amazing how the new MP4/22 uses the new Bridgestone tyres , this is really an issue . Maybe the conspirancy theory is deeper than we think . Ferrari after all , the most favorable team by FIA during the last years , might deserve something better . Maybe this is the pay back time for Ferrari .

If Alonso drove Honda RA107 he would be at least in the same fate as Button.... for a while... then he will probably make Honda engineers point in the right direction.

I have seen this before, with Senna first and then Schumacher.

That is why Alonso complains: for that kind of drivers, the team must be working for them, in order to improve the car in the way they like to drive.

The amazing thing here is that Hamilton is there too!

can anyone explain the advantage of using two rear wing pillars as opposed to a single pillar. I noticed that renault switched from the single pillar to the twin pillar layout this year.
