It's almost like there is a balance between the nose and the front splitter and the underside of the car.
You want less air under the nose.
More pressure on top of the front splitter (expense of drag)
And Less air under the front splitter/floor.
So I guess the designers have to be careful with the amount of air they send under the nose since the front splitter is not at the front of the F1-car unlike a regular street car.
