Raikkonen more efficient then both the Merc.. Vettel started from back and always had cars in front of him so that must have helped him in having used less fuel..
Doesn't really mean anything. They don't actually let their drivers race so you can't strategically use fuel.
Is that how they win championships? Is that the excuse today, "They" don't let them race? Hamilton wasn't quick enough and was outpaced thoroughly over the weekend - end of story.J0rd4n wrote:Doesn't really mean anything.so you can't strategically use fuel. They don't actually let their drivers race
Nothing to do with Hamilton. I'm just making the point that it makes no difference how much fuel a driver saves because they control the engine modes and don't let you run higher than the other unless there are exceptional circumstances. Not sure why you have to link everything back to justify Rosberg winning races.iotar__ wrote:Is that how they win championships? Is that the excuse today, "They" don't let them race? - Grosjean - last to nine, flawless and even better than Spa, definition of putting the car where it does not belong, two Toro Rossos, Red Bull and right behind Williams. Ruined team's best efforts to not achieve anything with usual no practice and gearbox circus, could have been better.
- Bottas got away extremely lightly. Another joke ruling considering RG got the same for nothing in Hungary. Verstappen - also lightly, full off track overtake on purpose with no excuses and only 5 s. New strict track limits enforcing by FIA =D> . New batch of special treatment drivers.
Many here have accepted the fact Hamilton didn't do the job when it mattered in qualifying. But people are sick of Merc's strange strategies to stop the two being close on track.AnthonyG wrote:It's fair to say a lot of people need some of Zoidberg's prescription.

Over this season I thought you guys were just slightly biased towards Hamilton, but these last races, the ammount of fanboyism I've seen is a disgrace imo.
The pressure was on for Hamilton to win it, he didn't, tant pis (= too bad).
Well the gap was down to 1.00s, Nico would have been in DRS 1 lap after.tranquility2k4 wrote:What I don't get in all of this is how Toto can so blatently deny that they cost Lewis a chance at victory. The facts are that Lewis was around 1.2 seconds behind Nico when Nico pitted. He has closed a gap of around 7 seconds and was clearly faster on the prime tyre, as the temperatures had dropped.
The fact Lewis ended up around 8 seconds behind him means the Merc strategy cost Lewis. At the very least if he had pitted just a few laps later, he would have given Nico a close race and may have even had the odd opportunity to overtake. Each lap they left him out I was thinking there is no way that he will be able to make this gap up.
I agree, but let's not forget the race is what matters. Don't let mercedes create this silly idea that you get it all in the race because you qualified higher. The only thing you get for qualifying higher should be an 8 metre headstart.J0rd4n wrote:Many here have accepted the fact Hamilton didn't do the job when it mattered in qualifying. Because Ferrari doesn't do team orders?PlatinumZealot wrote: Very funny.. but no. The team for some stupid reason want absolute harmony going into next year, and to do that that have to keep Rosberg in good spirits going into the Christmas party. Yup, Hamilton has his championships Rosberg ends the year winning everyone's happy... ugh..artificial racing. I can't wait for Hamilton to leave to Ferrari.
Rosberg did a better job in qualifying for which Hamilton had no answer. Hamilton was doing a better job in the race as he closed a 6 second gap with ease and Rosberg had no answer.AnthonyG wrote:It's fair to say a lot of people need some of Zoidberg's prescription.

Who won the race? Rosberg pulled a gap of the same size "with ease".Just_a_fan wrote:Rosberg did a better job in qualifying for which Hamilton had no answer.
