Doesnt that basically mean he'll have to win all 5 assuming there must be over a 95% probability that a Mercedes will win all of the next few races? :/

Still 5 races, sure, but that is one mighty mental advantage Rosberg has. The only thing Hamilton can take from this weekend is that he more or less aced the start...
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Hamilton almost definetly deserved what he got today with his statement yeasterday, as how "unstoppable" they are. Karma stricken him hard today. The question is, if he will learn something out of it, or he will still be playing a gangsta to the end of the season.

Are you out of your mind, of course something like that would never be a high up. If it was even real (highly unlikely), it would be someone way down the ladder.

Great Race, bad luck for HAM but also bad luck for ROS at the start but he recovered. Congrats to RBR for the 1-2 and what a race for MCL, first double points finish since Monaco GP.

Not to mention the crap they'll get from their UK market. We've seen hints of this in Baku, Singapore, I just think that this formula, where the driver needs to manage the technical side as well during the race suits Rosberg more than Hamilton. I mean people were already planning Rosberg's demise when they banned driver coaching, whereas we've seen the exact opposite.
Anyone who talks about conspiracy theories is just silly! Even i a Hamilton fan can't believe this! But i also can't believe his luck! And i don't think there is something a driver can do on the technical side when out of nowhere an engine goes without notice!

Conciliation for Lewis is that Nico was spun around in turn 1 otherwise the gap would be 33 points. Suzuka next weekend also so a chance for a quick turnaround, glass half full.

That was a fantastic race. Really happy with the results, what a drive from Alonso he nearly had Perez too. From the back up to seventh and beating his teammate who started in the top ten in the process. Rosberg just needs to hold on and sqeuuze out a couple more wins and the championship is his. :)

But since they relaxed the radio ban Rosberg has improved, whilst the coaching ban was in place Hamilton was superior

Dans79, then are you suggesting that nobody would've picked up on that? Watch RB's video about the life of a screw and notice how each part is tested and signed off by a huge number of people.

Of course the driver manages the engine as well. They monitor temperatures, manage engine modes, it's not a Golf to just start it and drive. The operating windows are incredibly narrow.

Again, just being honest here, but Lewis's comments suggest that he's already blaming the team, which IMO is the worst attitude possible.

3 wins brings the points gap down to 2, and to 10ths with nico 11 ties it. Lewis would win the tie breaker because he has more mins.

Again we've seen it first hand with the bad starts, Baku, Singapore. Also, wasn't Rosberg the one who won more races while the ban was in place?

And a nice statistic for formula 1...4 different winners in a season for the first time since 2013! Nice!

Vettel needs to retire, he's just embarrassing himself out there now... always in some form of a crash with different drivers
