Look closer to the ''peace one day cascade'' Image it's shorter (narrower) on the new FW

I saw it, but I believe that can be seen due of the angle and distance the photos were taken and because the fin on the cascade is not straight. Nevertheless (modified cascade or not), I think they have another one that hey didn't use in Silverstone, because I doubt they'll be calling it "new" with only a small revision. We'll see.

The photoshop with the DRD on the new rear bodywork on Grosjean's car was nicely done. Gave a good perspective of how it would look.

Lotus said this about RG after the race, "Towards the end of the race we lost quite a big part of the front wing meaning there was a lot of vibration and it became really difficult to drive, so in the end it was best to retire because of safety considerations. We don't know if it was caused by some debris or something to do with the fact that it was a new part; we will be working to find out the root of the problem."

Awesome!
Are there any on board videos of Kimi in Silverstone? Including the speedo, so we can see when and how the device is kicking in...
Rivals, not enemies. (Now paraphrased from A. Newey).

That is the same front wing on both cars, only different brake ducts.
I don't remember seeing a new front wing in Great Britain.
I don't know about front (I'm into spot the difference games ;-)) but the "new one" is going to be a rear wing according to this:

I thought rear wing had to be a package with "device" and Permane didn't specify that's why I asked.

I thought that too at first, but look and you'll see the same effect on both sides - ie, it's not an effect of parallax.

Looks like Kimi & Romain are swapping upgrade packages this weekend. But is the passive DRS effective at a circuit like nurburgring with a corner like the schumacher esses?

Great to see DRD for Grosjean this weekend , I think the DRD will be more effective in Germany than in Silverstone because there are just 2 straights were the fluid switch can work were as in Silverstone I think the DRD was working in turn 1 too (IMO) and Kimi was on edge in qualy .

Also I think Lotus went for more Downforce in silverstone than they could w/o DRD , the top speed wasn't great wrt competition and FA passed him pretty easily in 1st DRS zone after the 1 pit-stops or may be his tyres weren't upto the tempratures.

As the article on this site says they havent decided on what package to run. Both packages are roughly the same.

As suspected, Kimi is running the new slim rear bodywork that Romain ran last week and Romain is running DRD.

Updates "roughly" the same. If they know gains from either of updates what's the point of swapping them between the drivers? Logical step (if they were sure how they work) would be to put the one that suits the track more if they can't run them together yet. If that's the final goal - combination.

Running two different cars can't be optimal, not to mention reversed two races in a row. My suspicion, uneducated guess, is that they're swapping it because they're not quite sure of gains. If that's not the case what are the reasons? Of course we'll know more once they decide to chose only one for the race. Or not.

As I said, the "slim rear bodywork" upgrade package is better than "DRD" upgrade package. Kimi's WDC is primary thing for this team. It's obvious and logical move by team.
I don't know what's bugging you about that. The more important driver should and will obviously always get better package if team can't afford the equal packages for both drivers. So, it's obvious why they gave Kimi slim rear bodywork. Also, dear iotar, this means I was absolutely right week ago when I said that DRD is worse upgrade than slim rear bodywork. Facts.

Conclusion: Give Kimi as best as possible car possible.
Fernando Alonso is the best pay-to-drive driver in F1 with the biggest amount of money behind him.
