Vettel maybe had couple of tenths at max....4 tenths is far fetched. Rosberg preety much even stevens...Dissapointed about Webber and Hamilton though.

For a qualifying that had an owner since friday that ended up pretty crazy, Vettel almost beaten by overconfidence.

Great laps by Rosberg and Grosjean(is Kimi in hibernation until 2014? he look very weak the whole weekend), Massa also making his case for a job next year 8)

Were grip levels improving that quickly? Or was everybody saving best for last?

Hamilton's driving style and his car looked badly matched here, in Mclaren's slow corners were his strongest point.

About Kimi, he has back pains and is in doubt for tomorrow's race I think...

- pity Rosberg didn't make it, he was attacking on his last lap, hopefully he makes up for it and gets in front at the start, RB could use some humility and it's the only chance for interesting race,
- not Webber's track predictably
- Gutierrez at last nailed qualifying but got only one place over Hulkenberg

Or Rosberg was simply faster, took risks and had a great lap?

I'm not taking anything away from him, good to see he is still alive and kicking.
I just think Hamilton looked to be trying too hard and the Mercedes didn't like that.

Ouch about Kimi's back, Singapore is an extra bad place for that.

I am very much looking forward what will happen with Massa tomorrow. First race after he officially got the boot and he already is in the position of taking points away from Alonso. I fear it'll be wishfull thinking, but I hope ferrari does not (try to) influence Massa's race so that Alonso can get passed.

Very interesting also: Smedley told Massa where he was missing out on Alonso. After that, massa beated alonso. I do get 2 things out of that:
-Massa can still be quick, but somehow lacks insight of where he can gain time. Very unusual that a racing engineer succeeds in making a driver go faster that late into qualifying.
-Smedley seems to support the "go f*ck yourself, ferrari" attitude of Massa.

Disappointed about Lewis, 3 tenths to Rosberg is a lot of time. Not expecting a good race from P5, hopefully he won't fall behind the Ferraris as the race continues.

Let's not make it a big argument 8). Last sector was the only difference (result and Ham's team radio), so maybe it's somewhere in between. [It's not a big margin on longish track].

Hulk had a DRS failure in Q2 or he would have beaten Gutierrez. Bad luck basically and not performance made him miss the Q3.
Vetel looks pretty unbeatable unless something breaks.

Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

Well, it was in the last sector that i saw him looking rather ragged, but... we didn't get to see his final lap so i can't say anything...

From what we saw of Rosberg it looked pretty spetacular, absolutely on edge.

Well brawn said it did in fact evolve by quite some margin, so everyone went a lot quicker on their final run. 4/10 is not unthinkable imo.

OOP tomorrow surely, so another advantage for Vettel.

Grosjean saved a set of super softs by only running medium in Q1, so not a complete advantage on that front. That being said, only a gearbox failure looks to be standing between the start and 2 hours later Vettel's victory.

Surprised by Hamilton and Alonso performance today. Vettel looks like he will have a grand chelem tomorrow.
