Based on those 2 crashes he is getting close to the terrible status. The first crash was his fault, and no he f#### up again. If its not his mistake i will take my words back. But i think Gasly is terrible right now.

Getting that chassis fixed will be a challenge.

He was on a race sim, he shouldn't have been pushing that hard so I'm going to assume reliability issue but we'll see. Young guns tend to be reckless.
We shouldn't draw conclusion neither just yet. The crash looks strange.

Yeah rear wing looks to be on the roll hoop, so scratch the rear wing got pulled off theory.
Maybe he got hit in the rim by a foreign object! :) Was there a Mercedes behind him?

He lost control before entrance of T9 judging from the tiremarks: https://twitter.com/JJ1410/status/1101128780632997888

oompf, if that is driver error there that car is not on rails, Gasly isn't exactly a terrible driver.
I am not fully convinced by Gasly (yet). Also last year in the Toro there were some weird spins on occasion. But lets first wait to see what happened before we condemn (any further) :x :D ).

I think there is a shot of Ericsson near Gasly before that crash - that's what Grosjean was saying anyway

LEC stint is clearly faster but C2 tyres probably means it s not a first stint simulation since teams tend to start on softer tyres. So maybe less fuel

As much as I have observed over the days, C2 is more reliable and has much less degradation pattern and C3 is degrading much faster. That is the case across the cars, including Ferrari and Mercedes.

It was his first stint, he started it on C2.

Few pics (blurry) from the moment of the crash, looks like heavy oversteer (he's going sideways/backwards)

I mean sure, but maybe he started his first sting with only 2/3 of the tank full to simulate second stint whilst Bottas could be starting with full tank to simulate first stint. This would also aggravate the faster degradation of the C3 tyres which already have a fast deg as pointed by GPR-A

Finally, something interesting with the times to look at!

Assuming Bottas is actually on C2's as claimed elsewhere, that would *still* put the Ferrari at about 3-4 tenths faster. Obviously they can do be doing different tire management testing, but that's still....interesting. Nobody could match Mercedes' race sim pace last year in testing on these mediums, though conditions were different.

Still wouldn't go concluding anything by this, but it's probably the closest we've got so far in terms of a meaningful apples to apples comparison.
