Again that Merc seems to be struggling. It's gonna be fun in at the front between Bulls and Ferrari.
Maybe but Lewis went purple in sector 1 on very old tyres then backed off in sector 2, i think neither driver or seb hooked it up.

He didn't slowed down on purpose that's for sure. Last time I saw him on quali-sim he locked up corner before castle section, Vettel also messed up his quali run

Seems the Bulls are going to be the team to beat. Mighty long runs from both drivers.

Lap 17
RIC 1:46:364
Vet: 1:46:348

So long analysis will not be accurate.

Vettel has a lot in reserve if he wants to push. I think he is driving on a given delta by the team.

I don't think so, Verstapen did but on different tyre life. my point is that I don't belive in the long run analysis.

My bad I didn't see the mistake in sector 2 just wanted to highlight the purple sector 1 on old tyres.

Vettel barely reached 310 km/h down the straight and Ricciardo was almost at 330 km/h on race simulation. The Ferraris have their engines turned down a lot. On qualy simulation I think RBR must be running on fumes. Ferrari, Mercedes saving the engine, I just dont get it why the RBR is always having to push so hard in practice. It cost them in the race. Ferrari on qualy simulation, are on identical pace with RBR, look at Kimi. Still we (Ferrari) need to find a better setup, but Sebs car on race simulation was very stable in the corners, which is good. We used to find a lot of time from FP2 to FP3, hope the same will happen now. Will see. Forza Ferrari, Vettel, Kimi.

I have a question, could it be that RBR is very strong comparing to Ferraris, Mercedes because of their smaller-wheel based car, so the car can manouver faster through that tight corners. Ferrari, RBR are both having high-rake as we already know from the testing, Mercedes with the low-rake.

Top 3 performance is so close that anything can swing the balance, tires, driver having a bad day, any little thing can mean 1st or 6th.

Driving to a delta is an act of cowardice  3 stop it , here a 2 stop is a must, the degradation demands it. If there are safety cars pitting is a must as well, the pace advantage is too great to pass up.

Also it's going to be interesting, it's going to be extremely windy the next two days(40km/h). Wind is coming in from NNW so blowing SSE that means huge cross wind through the straights, tail wind down the castle section. That downhill left hander is going to be very tricky with the wind, as will the high speed turns in the final sector. The cross wind will also affect the 90 degree left at the end of straight.

Massive flat spots and vibrations for both Renault's!!
The whole chassis on both Renaults were resonating in roll from side to side down the entire straight, there's something seriously wrong with their setup, it never settled, looked like a nightmare to hang onto lap after lap.
