RB20 speculation

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Nose definitely extends to the front, all 4 FW flaps attached to it now. No idea why they forgo a bit of front downforce for further drag reduction...
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Thats interesting, considering AMR have just went in the opposite direction after a similar nose in 2023

Ferrari did the same (as AMR) from 2022 to 2023 correct?

Yeah, funnily enough AMR has changed every year between the two  2022 second element, 2023 main plane, 2024 second element

maybe it doesn't really matter that much if teams keep switching all the time

Again, that's DR in an RB19. Keep it to RB20

Inlets are extreme, much like the amr24

That inlet is literally touching the top of the chassis

Edited slightly to make things clearer. Yes the inlet lower lip is very close to the top of the chassis. Significantly higher than the rb19

These pics are obviously grainy, but looks to me like the lip is so high that you'd barely see the letterbox from head on. Looks more extreme than RB19 and AMR24.

Also looks like they've gone to a squarer roll hoop inlet after going to a full circle for the RB19

Yup it looks squarer from all angles
