But at least it would have been a race ..foxmulder_ms wrote: ↑01 Nov 2020, 14:56Even without the safety car, Lewis would have beaten them anyway
Clearly, faster driver. Don't be sour. During races, Lewis is half a second quicker on average.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑01 Nov 2020, 14:56There we go. Clearly favored by Mercedes. They raced Bottas but will never allow Bottas to race Lewis. Even without the V safety car they allowed Lewis to change his plan.
They can't make the driver pit, but they can put on the tyres the team choose. Hamilton understands that so he drove long.
Exactly, but anyone who dislikes Hamilton will see it a different way.Mattyw wrote: ↑01 Nov 2020, 14:56Mercedes had to cover Ver stop with Bot, Ham was behind so could effectively do the opposite to Vergrubschumi13 wrote: ↑01 Nov 2020, 14:50Last Weekend MErcedes said to Bottas who wanted a different strategy No they don't give different strategies one the driver in the lead decides gets their tires they do not give a different option to the other driver, here now you see when its Hamilton, they give him the strategy he wants. going longer and different tyres.
It is not staged. If anything they hesitated/delayed like one minute to put on an **obvious** safety car.langedweil wrote: ↑01 Nov 2020, 14:56This is bloody staged ...
VSC just 30secs before Ham comes in, and gone when he drives out ..
Same tyres. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑01 Nov 2020, 14:50here now you see when its Hamilton, they give him the strategy he wants. going longer and different tyres.
Actually that’s not the case. They needed Hamilton to get by Verstappen which is clearly why they did that. It’s not Hamilton’s fault that Bottas couldn’t gap Verstappen or keep the gap to Hamilton on old tyres sufficiently low.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑01 Nov 2020, 14:56There we go.
