Lotus E21 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Yeah strange right?

Launch car had the flow conditioners at the top of the sidepods, and the new deflector on the side. Also a new front nose cone which didnt seem to have the pelican bulge underneath, and also a wider tip at the front. The sidepods on todays car also look a different.

They already have run the launch spec flow conditioners today. They are probably testing out several solutions.

Side pods looks to have a smaller opening and no appendages above the pods ,
Also the nose looks a little raised, may be angle of the photographs

pic please

the lauch car was a mock up (a fake),

the car they run today is the one from the cgi, only that the tub and side pods looks very much latest E20 spec, but it is longer and compare airbox with lauch "e21" and also front suspension, exhaust etc..

Couldnt find a better angle. A post Monaco GP E20 photo would be better to compare the sidepods...

What is your problem? Yes the picture is not that clear, but you can certainly see the the launch spec flow conditioners.
