Kimi did not have fresh tyres and Alonso was short on fuel. The race could have gone their way.

Merc's performance was not what I expected after all the updates and this mighty illegal super-test

Solid race from Vettel, good race from Kimi (but ruined by Lotus strategy again?), so was Grosjean

Did Alonso run out of fuel? Penalty?
Wrong Red Bull should send big thanks to Lotus marketing driven circus section of detachment from reality. BTW what would be better :
1. Grosjean 2. Vettel 3. Raikkonen or this piece of c... ?

it was closer than I thought, have to admit. Although closing the gap and overtaking are two different things (especially for Alonso).

DOTD - Kimi or Vettel?
It is a close one, but I give it to Vettel for holding the competition off. Lotus should have priorities Kimi more to give him a better chance to challenge Vettel.

Kimi needs a better team and car.

Thank goodness the cameraman is OK. Thank Christian Horner for telling us.

But it was mere luck.
I hope FIA will do something about this. we keep seeing more detached tyres in the pit lane than ever, this really has to stop.

Merc's tire degradation is still present. Their pace was no good. That test has done nothing for them.

I think today Lotus'es were the best cars.

Things to take away from this GP. Its Vettel's championship to lose and good on him. The Lotus's and Kimi are still in the fight. Mercedes tire problems are still there, Hamilton really lost an opportunity last weekend. What a tense race that was.

I think the RBR is the best car, clearly. It would have been a 1-2 if not for Webber's pit misfortune.

Well watching Romain's and Vettel's laptimes when they were P1 and P2 in clean air tells me otherwise.

What pleased me was the tyres performance...they actually allowed most drivers to really race..and I mean really race. The fact that Vettel mentioned that every lap he had to push hard meant he knew the tyres would last. The fact that the tyres lasting as they did allowed Romain, Kimi and Vettel and Alonso to really do some hones racing.this is the racing I enjoy in F1.

RBR's key weapon was acceleration...I mean even without KERS sometimes Vettel was like 12-15kph faster out of the corners before DRS activation zones...That was insane! Maybe not the best top speed but certainly that wasnt a problem.Well well deserved victory no matter how much you love or hate the guy.
As for the Mercedes it was clearly visible how the illegal tyre test helped them huh? /sarcasm
