At first I didn't like the livery but it has grown on me. It's unmistakably McLaren. Will look great on track. A lot of other teams have tried to copy McLaren colours through the years.

Ron does really like silver/grey, good on him for not giving it up. It's a colour that is associated with Mcalren, not just because of Merc. I thought Honda might have wanted something different and more Honda oriented (white), maybe Ron stuck to his guns again.

Lack of sponsors don't bother me as it looks cleaner. Team don't seem to be worried about it so we shouldn't either.

The livery reminds me of the MP4-24/25/26/27/28 with those red stripes on the nose ... but without Vodafone

A bit like a darker MP4-20.

So basically the car looks good ... but nothing special ... and it has a lack of sponsors on the side pods.
BTW ... what happendes to the P&G sponsoring with McLaren?

The livery looks OK to me, but after all the hype of McLaren-Honda, Let's make history blah blah blah I expected something better and different, let's say. I'm a bit disappointed :?

Let's hope for their sake that at least their on-track performance would make them stand apart from Force India...

Never trust your initial impression, it will usually change!

What is so uncoordinated about the design?

Absolutely nothing! The design is beautiful. Maybe he was referring to livery design?? Personally I don't care too much about livery.

Hello everybody!
Another thing I can not understand.
What happened to the other partners? The page on Mclaren official website show several other sponsors that do not appear on the livery. First of all: SANTANDER! It's true that may have been taken commercials agreements that do not include the obligation of presence on the livery (my mind go to TAG), yet it seems strange a team with Alonso as a driver without a Santander logo even on the suit!
I think this is a livery that will change a lot for the start of the season.

Maybe because Santander didn't pay enough to be on the car.

Why the hell did they keep silver instead of the obvious choice of making it white. keep the black keep the red just change the silver to white like they changed from Mercedes to Honda. Its so frustrating to me, it would have been so simple. #-o

The livery is nice but not original and I was expecting something different. Anyway I hope they definitive livery will be presented when the season begins. Furthermore, new sponsors will appear so I am sure that thing will change.

I mean, if we weren't all so hopeful that they'd bring back the old school livery I'd still say this is a very tidy and classy looking McLaren.

It's just a barebones "Mclaren Mercedes" livery with honda slapped on the side of it. It's terrible. From a marketing perspective it's a disaster as well. A massive failure to to cease the opportunity of a retro livery which would have gotten everyone talking about the team and raised their profile.

Perhaps then that is part of the problem, there is no title sponsor to raise the profile for.

So we have this plain, lazy and uninspired paint job.

Mclaren are better than this.
