This the same bull***t like the driver's weight. It would as easy to put a full 2kg bottle into the car by the rules as it would be easy to say driver+seat=80kg....

Magnussen complained his drink was so hot he couldn't drink it and another ex-F1 driver also said that trying to spread your drinking over the race didn't really work because half way through it would be too hot. So they'd have to replace or refill the bottle

Some additional thougths;

1. Agree completely with basti313.

2. Why is this race so long? It is easily 10 laps longer then the average F1 race. :?
5.3 The distance of all races, from the start signal referred to in Article 38.9 to the chequered flag,
shall be equal to the least number of complete laps which exceed a distance of 305 km (Monaco 260km).

Kvyat´s drink bottle failed on the warm up lap... Apparently asked if he could come in and park the car sometimes mid-race.

It's as if the driver is not part of the car and isn't important.

If the engine fails... then the team care.... but they won;t doing anything if the driver fails.

the same "specialists" cover the back side of the seats with gold foil .....and are too obsessed with what they think is optimisations to supply a somewhat cool drink to a driver.....complete and utter nonsense in my view .You do not need more than a double skin bottle to perform that drink -can be bought at any shop around the corner ..hot things stay hot cold things cold ..physics are the same even for formula 1.

Maybe you can move it to the front, just integrate it behind the display then run a tube through the car.

lol watched Vergne´s overtake on Raikkonen yet again, was an absolutely robbery!
Raikkonen had no idea what happened before it was too late.

yes it does seem crazy not to keep a large part of your cars performance, the driver, in the best possible shape all the
way through the race.

something as simple as freezing the bottle so that it is ice and thaw through the race could work

If Lewis wins the next 4 races and Nico comes second in that, then he only needs to finish 4th or higher in the last race.....sounds familiar??? Just like 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012 flashes through my mind :o all those years things went crazy in their last race
It is going to be one hell of a ride :D

So no team orders from Red Bull today.

DR is 60 points behind the leader. Could of been 57 if they switched positions. They may regret that in Abu Dhabi.

Why do the cars both seem to fall apart every single race...

Realistically speaking I don't think anyone other than the two Merc drivers will win the wdc
Even before Abu dabhi DR would be out of the title mathematically

They did not enforce the new rule at all ...
-One of the Caterhams got info on sector times
-Perez was told to drive smoother
-Ricciardo got several instructions that were driving advice with a 'to save the car' or something along those lines added at the end
... there were probably some more cases :D

Interesting fact
Lewis just needs to win three out the next 5 gps with Nico coming second and come second in the next two to win the wdc
And Nico should win at least 4 out of the next 5 gps with Lewis coming second
And also Nico should win at Suzuka otherwise Lewis will have massive momentum
