Someone said that hill doesn't exist?Pup wrote:Yes, I admit the hill in front of you in the video doesn't actually exist. Neither will the people sitting on it on race day. They'll actually be down in a ditch.
It's done with mirrors. Maybe epicycles.
Tilke didn't do anything wrong there. It's the natural slope of the terrain.Pup wrote: Safest to ignore things like that along with any other evidence to the contrary and just assume de facto that Tilke sloped the ground the wrong direction.
Is it me? It's him, right?hairy_scotsman wrote:Someone said that hill doesn't exist?
Haywood's land would be perfect for about 20-30 RV's. at @2500 (more if he puts water and power line) a spot guy could make a killing on race weekend. The guys staying could just shuttle themselves to COTA in a cab.hairy_scotsman wrote:Here's a photo Vance took today from Haywood's hill. This gentleman was clearing for something on Mr. Haywood's property. That's not why I post it, though.

The circuit is less than ten miles from the airport and less than twenty from downtown Austin. We go from urban to rural in a very short span here.shadow28 wrote:hello allhairy_scotsman wrote:It really is an amazing spot.

But the place of the circuit is in open country?. I'd like to know if the drivers are complaining about this as they do for Silverstone
Yeah, downtown Austin and the airport are easily visible from much of the east side of the circuit.thearmofbarlow wrote:The circuit is less than ten miles from the airport and less than twenty from downtown Austin. We go from urban to rural in a very short span here.
Do you work for Snap-On by chance? 'Cause you seem to be a giant toolbox.bhallg2k wrote:Man, that's a vicious downhill turn into the first corner.
