Your argument is not logical, sorry. If Max's car died, even on the last lap, Ferrari still could have RAI wait 15 seconds or so for Vettel to pass him then.

This does make sense. There was no reason for Raikkonen to give up the position. Bottas was too far ahead for Vettel to reach, a position swap would not have done anything for Vettel concerning WDC and as you mentioned Raikkonen could even have parked the car at a run off if an oppertunity arose.

Let's not praise Ferrari too much on that front :p. They would have sacrificed Raikkonen if it made a difference.

I think that was why they told Hamilton it was game over.
Hamilton was sat 10th at the time. Vettel was 4th but even with a Verstappen or Bottas retirement 2nd (When Raikkonen obviously let him pass) wouldn't have been enough as Hamilton would then have been promoted to 9th.

Something that made me angry at my TV was the idiotic Greek commentators making constant mistakes and erroneous statement. It's like they're unable to follow basic stats and race progress. And asked for commercial brakes at the worst times. Like before pits and stuff.
Which brings me to a question. I remember several years ago the TV program showed replays during the race that they made, at the station control. They didn't rely solely on FIA broadcast during live.
I'm guessing FIA outlawed this and enforced a rule to only show the live feed as is for TV stations now, right?

Back to the race, how much damage did Hamilton sustain in the diffuser and suspension? This race showed (again) that it's really hard to pass a slower car if that car also has DRS from another in front.
Also the Virtual Safety Car really didn't help Hamilton cause it meant his 1 stop strategy was made worse because others could pit again and lose less time. So he was forced to pit and try for a faster last stint too. And he had already ran the slow tire for a big chunk of the race. It was really bad luck. Only a real safety car would have aided him, but that would have aided Vettel too a bit, depending when it happened. Maybe we'd have seen a better race though. I think Bottas wasn't so strong (again). RAI is phoning it in too. Sad for the Fins, some of my favorite peoples.

Sorry to say, but you're an absolute hypocrite if you think Ferrari are the only one's to do it.

There has been this hoopla about Raikkonen being the second driver while I have proof that Vettel passed him each time because of better pace and Raikkonen never made it easy for him.

This great Mercedes team also used team orders at Bahrain this year, Monaco last year, Hungary 2014, Malaysia 2013?

I am not a vettel hater. I quite like all the drivers this year.
But i can't help but notice that Vettel came out of turn 3 and was well on his way down the straight, then he came off line to touch lewis then he came back online. It all happened too controllably for me to beleive he lost control.
The car did not understeer as he was already out of the corner. The car was well on it's way and in the middle of the track. I am not sure what possesed Vettel to slam the throttle and turn into Lewis as soon as he saw that Hamilton was going to pass him.
I still believe he has an anger management problem, and impulsively saw the championship slipping away as lewis passed by and just did anything that he could to stop him, and that came in the form of turning into the tyre of the mercedes.
Again this is without bias, as i don't have any grouse with Vettel, but that move was intentional and is under similar circumstances to Baku. Watch the video again and take note how he comes off line (car already straight and under full grip) and hits lewis, then controllable comes back online after the hit.

How do i know he had enough grip? Look on Bottas' car behind. Doing the same speed and came off the apex almost the same as vettel. No drama as he picks up throttle and is also in the middle of track just like vettel. Compare bottas and vettel to see the truth.

All the negativity guys. It was a great race. Only Bad thing was clumsy 1st! turn by VET when Ves passed him. The Rest was great drama. But it was Quote probable that HAM would win anyway.

This is what happens when a driver is given a clear picture by the stewards that he can do what ever he wants.
