GENERAL CAR REQUIREMENTS

82) Accident data recording :
a) Each car must be fitted with an FIA accident data recorder during each Event and during all tests
which are attended by more than one team. Teams must use their best endeavours to ensure that
the recorder is in working order at all times. The only purpose of these units is to monitor, record or
control one or more of the following :
- data relevant to an accident or incident ;
- a deceleration warning light on board the car ;
- a lap trigger ;
- the driver input signal used to initiate the propulsion of the car at the start of a race.
b) At any time following an accident or incident competitors must make the data recorder available and
accessible to the FIA. A representative of the team concerned may be present when data relevant to
an accident or incident is being uploaded from the recorder. A copy of the data will be made available
to the team.
c) Any conclusions as to the cause of an accident, or any data relevant to an accident, may only be
published in the form of a report which has been agreed between the team concerned and the FIA.

i agree he looked like a whiny little kid on the podium i should have had first :sniff:Hudsonhawk. wrote:All he did was apply some more lube and touch his toes!!!I must say that one great thing came out of this. This is that Alonso showed his true class in the press conference by remaining professional and calm. He did completely the right thing by talking about his own performance, and not passing comment or getting heated.
True, true Champion. He most definitely has my respect and I am certainly more of a fan!
That video is fascinating, thanks.JimmyK wrote:I'm not sure about 1997.What happened at these races?
But I believe Australia 1994 was when Schumacher went into a wall, then as Damon Hill was about to overtake...
Just to add that the Stewarts have access to communicaitons TOO. So, all other guys just stop spoiling your poison until the stewart's desision. By the way, you have to admit that it was way too risky and hit the barriers. So, in case he did cheat, shoot him. In case that stewarts say that it was a human error, what are you going to tell? And before you even thing your answer, remember that F1 is in France. And Renault is a French company. OK?DaveKillens wrote:The race stewards will have access to the Ferrari telemetry, and by analysis, learn what buttons Shu pushed, and in what timing. Opinions are opinions, but by comparing Shu's actions in the cockpit against the sequence of external events, the truth can be learned.
Drivers are in constant communication with their engineers, and Shu most likely was very aware of Alonso's lap, and consequences if he was able to finish it. Before he had arrived at the scene of his "event", he would have known that both Alonso and Kimi were putting in VERY quick laps.
It's up to the telemetry and the stewards.
I won't comment on whether he "cheated", but one fact I do stand by is that Michael Schumacher is the most ruthless racer in the history of motorsport, and has been known to do almost anything to achieve his goals.
Risky would be parking in tunnel that is why he parked at one of the slowest turns. In case Mosley's stewards say it was human error that will be their expected opinon and Monaco isn't in France.tpe wrote:Just to add that the Stewarts have access to communicaitons TOO. I agree, but if someone does that over and over again than he can't be called great driver but great rule bender even though this had noting to do with rule bending 'cause it was purest of all cheatings.ketanpaul wrote:Well Schumi and Ferrari have always shown the old saying in their actions- IF YOU CANT BREAK THE RULES, TRY BENDING THEM
Here you go, found you a vid of the 1997 incident.Apparently, the '97 incident involved a crash with Villeneuve
