Antonelli's good result overly boosted his confidence again. It wouldn't surprise me if he has a shunt.

Lawsons car has problems again. The mechanics are busy working at the back of the car. He needs wheel time and he's not getting it. He's getting thrown to the wolves. Is Yuki sure he wants to trade seats ?

Norris is struggling with the car. Another lap , another snap. Russell still leads by 1/2 second.

Norris ended up fastest on the softs. But it wasn't without issues. The car was snapping on both Mclaren drivers.

Lawson is officially the #2 so expect him to have the test mule car like Webber did.
It's sad he isnt getting much running to build confidence in what is a fast but trickt car.

Ferrari looking much better in the warmer temperatures.

McLaren dominant again!
For Sure!!

I can't believe the unbelievable speed of the McLarens. It's quite literally unbelievable.
This big of a performance gap in the last year of regulations seems somehow suspicious.

Lando and Oscar could be running different engine mode, the gap is too wide.

They did a good job, you have to just take your hat off to them. I guess it gives me hope Aston Martin can make a similar kind of jump especially with Newey onboard

Could be, Russell was at 340 kmh+ on mediums and then couldnt get close to his PB in S3 on softs.

Mclaren on different level. The way this car turns at sub ~200 kmh corners is unreal.

McLaren is pretty good here. If you see 1 onboard lap you understand it immediately no matter engine modes or fuel load or anything. I hope the others will catch up.

The MCL39 is from another world. The season is finished.

Piastri missed the final turn and ended up in the gravel. Until then, the gap was ~0.15s only.

About Mercedes, it's possible that engines modes played a part, of course, but last year they also just used to be fast on green tracks.

Seems like it. So much for all the hype generated by F1 that this would be F1's most epic season ever :D

But honestly if McLaren managed to find this much performance legally in the end of a regulation then hats off to them. It's seriously impressive. Is Rob Marshall the new Newey?

That would be music to Landos ears provided he can keep his nose infront like Oz

I don't track position matters much with such a car advantage. Especially on a track like this. Therefore he won't take much risks I reckon when Max wants to pass him on lap 1.

McLaren did say that they think China will suit them, don't despair fans of other lesser teams. :D
