Then tney must have the worst drivers cause they ain't winning squat....ell66 wrote:the mclaren race pace is a mith im afraid. lets look at just the last 3 races where theyve claimed to have superior race pace.
spain: they were helped greatly by alonso holding up the bulls for the first couple of stints, and then for whatever reason they were the only team able to make the super hard tyre work.
monaco: vettel pulled away from button in te first stint, and then after that vettel went onto the primes and thus ran completely different stratagies, how they can assume they were the fastest is beyond me.
canada: the conditions, had the race been dry i would of been like today, slightly worse pace but tyres falling off and finishin a good 30 seconds behind like turkey.
ferrari are the kings of race pace, and this is coming from a mclaren fan.
Button's win was a waste of points.andrew wrote:Well the race promised to be boring and it sadly lived up to this expectation.
Another Vettel win makes up for the poor quality of the race though. Very mature and controlled drive. =D>
At least Hamilton didn't crash. that benefits everyone!
Hamilton suggested today that he thinks they'll suffer from the EBD ban. I think McLaren will be looking over their shoulder at Mercedes and Renault not forward at Red Bull.ringo wrote:The downforce is giving them a lot of breathing space in terms of tyre life.
Hamilton could do no better today.
Any tyre saving and he would be back with Button following Massa.
Ferrari really seem to be quick around this track.
Webber seemed quick at some points, even recovering to come within 2s of vettel, but he just didn't have the tyre presevation down.
It's getting annoying now that Webber can't even beat vettel. He should at least of won 3 races off vettel keeping things close.
Well i hope the silverston reg clarification makes the Mclaren the fastest car for the whole season. I am tired of this redbull domination already.
ermm no. have you not listened to any of the interveiws with withmarsh buttonand hamilton?Sean H wrote:the only people saying Macca has a better race pace are the fan boys, you have to weigh the message with the messenger...
I am sure somebody will say Macca had a great day, they were just 30 seconds slower than RB and Alonso.
Damn them's are sour grapes. I dare say if your driver was dominating it would be a great season.n smikle wrote:This track symbolises the whole season; BORING and Vettel is going to win.
Unlike the seasons where MS dominated year after yearn smikle wrote:This track symbolises the whole season; BORING and Vettel is going to win.
There's nothing wrong with Vettel dominating, but he could atleast make it a bit more interesting. Watching a driver drive pole to flag unchallenged for 19 races is always going to be boring.andrew wrote:Damn them's are sour grapes. The season is a double whammy for me. It's great seeing someone at the top of their game and not disappearing up their own porthole like often happens with success and the driver I support is winning. It's a great season!
