Webber easily tops first practice
F1 Grand Prix, GP Europe, Valencia Street Circuit
Mark Webber topped today's first practice for the European GP at Valencia. He went 0.8 seconds quicker around the 25-corner track than Vitaly Petrov. Fernando Alonso came third, ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the first McLaren.
Karun Chandhok meanwhile, in action for Team Lotus was unable to set a time as he managed to just lap the circuit twice as he lost second gear on his car.
Pirelli meanwhile chose to change their plans to bring the medium tyre to this circuit, and instead provided the red super soft and the yellow soft tyre.
Sebastian Vettel, who went out first on track, ended up in 16th place after completing 21 laps, one lap less than team mate Mark Webber.
