Now just how exactly was Lewis faster than Jenson today?

That makes sense. What's interesting is that Button couldn't match Vettels fastest laps not even once throughout the race. But in the end he suddenly beat Vettels fastest lap which he had done just two laps earlier. Which probably explains that Jenson had gone in a different engine mode the moment McLaren realized Vettel had turned down his.

Nevertheless there was no way in hell Jenson was gonna catch Vettel. Vettel was in a world of his own today. He was pulling away a second faster than Jenson and two seconds from the other guys.

After watching Hamilton's onboard I changed my mind about the penalty handed out to him. If you look carefully, it's clear that Hamilton brakes hard and locks his wheel to actually avoid contact. When you take that into context the penalty handed out to him was a bit too harsh.

And funny that Webber vs. Hamilton last year in the same corner, very similar event; wasn't even investigated.

He made a silly mistake today. Doesn't change the fact that he's one of the best.
How many "silly" mistakes Hamilton did over the years? If one makes that much "silly" mistakes, you call him smart of what?
How many "silly" mistakes did Schumacher make over the years?
not that many 'silly' mistakes actually.

Can you list the Hamilton mistakes? Most of them were in this year. He's not a mistake prone driver.
Risk prone yes.

Look on the utter crap we are getting with the other midfielders. Flying over kerbs, crashing into barriers, those are mistakes, but all becuase the spotlight is one the most electrifying driver in sports entertainment we don't see them.

Hate him of love him. Hamilton is a damn good driver. Massa isn't.

Massa has been neutered by Alonso.

He has no right taking that out on anybody. If i were in Hamilton's shoes, i'd ask massa what the five fingers said to the face, then b*tch slap the fool.

Yes hamiltons cocks up some times. So what?
And I agree he wasted a lot of points this year and so have the team. It's racing man, Vettel is still going to win this year. The big picture is Vettel's cryptonite is Hamilton. And the cryptonite hasn't got much opportunities to come out of the bag this year.

He still can win barnstorming races. Just admit he made your day today. You got some nice outside overtakes and Vall is now lamenting DRS cause the BOSS capitalized on the sytem today. Made it look too easy while shumi tripped over his laces.
For Sure!!

you cannot compare with the mid-field really. The cars those guys drive are miles away of what LH has always had.

Awful prediction, man. Just awful.

I was pretty close actually. I just never thought Red Bull would be this strong here. Which is probably the only reason why Webber took that last podium place.

I am against the DRS in principle. And I do realize that some moves that Fred put on LH some races back were due to the DRS, nothing more, nad I still do not like the thing.

Can anyone confirm if Alonso got a penalty for chopping Hamilton's rear in Malaysia?
It was just a "misjudgement" from Alonso but now is a stupid mistake for Hamilton and on top of that deserving an investigation AND a penalty? Lewis have done mistakes this year but i fail to see how this incident deserved a penalty.

Fred did indeed get a penalty for that, but got appeased by moaning about the boss's weaving on the straight... The result, both were penalised.

Not sure if this has been posted on another thread, but I thought some foreign users who dont have the benefit of the BBC online service would like to see what happened between Massa and hamilton after the race.

2009 - Silverstone - didn't he crash when running 3rd juts few laps before the end? Monaco, a silly crash in the most important quali of the year....

In 90% of the cases DRS is involved, directly or indirectly

No matter how stupid was that mistake from Hamiltons part,Massa's behaviour is completely unacceptable. He did the same reaction with Alonso back in Nurburgring in 2007...He is a usual whiner when things dont go well for him.I can also see why he was so frustrating in the end...Because Hamilton managed 5th with the extra pitstop and the drive-through while himself went out of talent and was struggling to pass the William's and Force India's... :|
