As I said in the Pirelli thread, for 2013 they tested last year in some practice sessions. They had feedback from the teams to build tires for this year.

No, we just need a new supplier. Like someone said, they know how to make a tyre, they are pushing things to the limit, and they cant test, so why are they pushing them to the limits ? Bring a better tyre or P**s off home and let someone else do it.
And how do you know you are pushing limits when you can't test them to the limit?

So if they cant test, why the hell are they pushing the tyres to the limit? Why are they making them so close to the edge???

Put your TV on and you can clearly see they are on the limit. Tyres only 10 laps old exploding!

They should know how to build a tire. They haven't had these problems previous years. This IS a joke!
Yeah and they built a new tire with new materials but they can't test it so what to do ???
They have the same opportunity to test as previous years. They just have to test with cars that's not current year cars.

Seems to me like a red flag and opportunity for all of the teams to inspect their current tyres would be a good move. That way there's no temptation to leave a car out there.

Lotus turned into a complete joke of a team, and going for a record of completely useless team orders, as early in the season and in the race as possible. No amount of team orders will help their inept chosen driver, no amount of marketing and cheer-leading from Lopez and Permane will hide the mediocrity of performances race after race. One odd win and six average races at best with two bad one and two qualy penalties. Well done.

That's a fourth time in 1,5 season not to mention a joke with updates, tests, set up. They will never win anything apart from odd race in a very special circumstances. Marketing driven circus.

Exactly, Pirelli have the chance to run their own car for as many laps as they like.

A 2012 car should be good enough for testing reliability of the tires!

Your statement of not enough testing isn't holding up.

Its one thing to build a "bad" tyre which degrades quickly, changes balance with temperature, deforms too much, wears too quickly or has a terribly narrow useable temperature range... These can be excused due to lack of testing.

But building a tyre which is structurally flawed and will self destruct under normal racing conditions is absolutely unacceptable.

You can't put this blame on the teams, the tracks, the drivers or the testing regulations. Its just a bad tyre.

To all the people who complained when I called them Destructotires that I was a fanboy or whatever and that Ferrari and Lotus managed the tires and other teams should do the same or they are to blame:
I told you so.
