Perhaps made in order to celebrate the reinstated love between MrM, MrE and Ferrari?
Yeah, and it was mrE with a longbow shooting a spring at Massa. He's damn fine shooter, ain't he?))

Of course they would make (and they are making already) publicity out of it, seriously though consider their options - Gene (35) and Badoer (38) or some green italian kid from F3... They have P3 in WCC to spare and they need somebody proved to secure it!

Listen little buddy, you need to go back and re-read the posts. I made a comment on Ferrari, and you responded to my post with...
how hypocritical
how can someone be soooooo blinded in hatred
only haters and bashers would love to do this
Normally I would request that yuo go back and read my post. This time, here it is:
The regulations have a provision built in just for this situation. A team names two drivers, and two test/reserve drivers. In case one of the primary race drivers is unable to compete, then one of the test/reserve drivers takes his place. For Ferrari, Badoeur or Gene fall within this classification.
Other teams, such as STR, follow the regulations. But not only have Ferrari chosen to ignore this regulation, but they also have the brass balls to request special dispensation to allow testing by Schumacher.
If Gene or Badoeur were not considered race-worthy by Ferrari and they have to scramble to find an acceptable driver to replace Massa, then it's ferrari's problem. They made a mistake in driver selection, and have to live with just one more bad decision.
The rules are supposed to be applied fairly and evenly to all, without exceptions.
Do not confuse Massa's personal tragedy with Ferrari's need to find a replacement.

This whole business about Schumacher running laps in a 2 year-old car is purely to assist Schumacher in his return to competition. Although this is not in opposition to the regulations, it is definitely pushing the boundaries in sportsmanship that is supposed to exist between teams. Oh well, this only supports my belief that Ferrari does not play well with others.
If this kind of post gets your shorts in a knot, I really feel sorry for you. At no time did I dis anyone. I did not call Schumacher names, not did I label Ferrari as "cheaters". So dude, back off.
Racing should be decided on the track, not the court room.

I'm trying to think...when Schumacher had his accident, how did Ferrari pick his replacement, a Finn, wasn't it?

But if they had, say, recently retired Senna (which actually was somewhat possible...) wouldn't they've picked him instead if he was willing to give it a go?

Doubt if Ferrari's possible title-challenger at the time, Eddie Irvine, would have liked that scenario much.

I think Kimi is aware his chance at the title is rather slim, while his general interest seems a little off to me?

But certainly, other drivers would probably have reacted a little different, imagine Hamilton?

That idiot was also the chap who managed to get Mosley 40 votes from the African FIA clubs during the whole spank-gate vote.

Now, this is just poor form on the part of Ferrari, and it's also why I haven't missed Schumacher being around. He seems to inspire self-righteousness all around.

Just for the record, the Scuderia Ferrari had given its approval to let Alguersuari test, but it seems even in this instance someone decided to stick to the precise wording of the regulations.

Well, yes, that also makes a difference.
Yeah, and when I wrote my previous post I hadn't thought about that little Japanese incident - having Irvine and Senna (a guy with looong memory) would definitely be fun

Of course, but there's already a thread about Kimi's reactions going)))

Guess you are referring to when Senna called Eddie a "Fu****g idiot", throwing him a left-hook after the race?

But as I recall, it all began with Senna lapping Irvine, on his F1 debut for Jordan at Suzuka, when Eddie decided to re-lap himself?

This is so rich, I almost fell out of my seat when I read it on the front page of F1technical.net, more proof that Ferrari dont consider any rule to apply to them, and when someone points out that they do they get angry and throw a hissy fit tantrum.

"precise wording of the regulations"...this from a team who was argueing against the DDD based on the spirit of the rules. hilarious.
