Anyway, fantastic win by Hamilton. Made a bit easier by Button-Vettel, but he drove a superb race nevertheless.

Not too impressed with the stewards in regards to Grosjean though. The penalty for Massa was complete bollocks, he evaded a collision there. He deserved a penalty for Button, but not for Massa.

You are pretty alone there. Grosjean has the situational awareness of a dead raccoon. He gave no space to Button in a situation where there was no point in pushing someone off the track.
He was penalized for Massa. That was unjustified.
Button, definitely worth a penalty.

The penalty was for overtaking Massa. They are discussing it right now at skysport and he was off the line by 2 inches.

It was 15 laps to go, not 11, which is very borderline, especially when they have no unused softs left. Pushing on an extra 4 laps wasn't really doable, as they'd already done 22 laps on that set of mediums, and they were getting at *most* 20-24 out of those tyres.

Well raikonnen did 33 on mediums. If vettel tryed to stay on those mediums till the end at best he wins, at worst he's 3rd. So no difference. Tactical mistake on RBs part.

When Vettel was asked on the podium about complaining in the last laps that Kimi had not left him enough room, Vettel laughed it off as the nerves of the race and said all was well and Raikonnen fake-punched him on the side while he laughed, teeth-shown smile. That was a good moment. I'm starting to dislike the booing Vettel gets. It's OK if he does something bad in the race, but here he played fair, all he did was fail to overtake (Button, Kimi).

Webber could have done a lot better for the team, I think he gave away is position too easily when it was most critical for the team.

Not sure if it was intentional or he is just too old for the sports.

Indeed, his pass on Massa through the outisde of the high speed turn 4 required him to go off track the exit of the turn which is not allowed. Grosjean was earlier on already under investigation earlier in the race for causing a collision with Button, but escaped a penalty for that.
The stewards apparently were not well pleased with several questionable situations in the space of a few laps and after the pass on Button I can understand that.

Impressive stuff from Hamilton , although i Believe that the Button - Vettel battle helped him , he clearly showed master pace
Masrerclass Kimi again ! =D> can't wait to see the King of Spa in action !
Red Bull : bad strategy , sh** happens
So did Mercedes finally solved their tyre problems , if so it will be interesting to see how things are gointg to behave in the second half of the season !

Still , it sucks that we had to wait 3 weeks for this Gp only to wait annother 4 weeks ..
Maybe Time to switch to Football , happy "holidays" all :)) !

At the time I wrote it, there wasn't (and still isn't now) a penalty for the button-grosjean case (which obviously deserves a penalty). The only case possibly I could have spoken about was the massa-grosjean case, which did not deserve a penalty. Grosjean only drove sensibly and if Massa gave him 2 inches more room (which by the rules he is obliged to do and more, but likely couldn't due old tyres) it wouldn't have been a penalty at all.

For the record: I do agree his bump with button justifies a penalty.

Well yeh, that's exactly what made it an impressive drive – when he needed to make a pass, he made it, and made it quickly. His opposition didn't, that decided the race.

The pass on button isnt even close to something the stewards need to bother with, end off. We need to have proper stewards who check proper things and dont go after each and every god damn little touch, especially when the little touch causes no harm to anyone and no one loses more then 0.1 seconds.

Grosjean did.
